Hanbury School Harvest service

Hanbury School Harvest service

2 Nov 2023 • Bowbrook News

Church was bustling with 150 pupils and lots of family members with babies and buggies for this celebration in church. Individual classes sang ‘I’m Growing Veg’, ‘A Farmer’s Life for me’ (must have pleased the Brian family?) and ‘We’re so Thankful’ and the whole school finished with ‘Harvest time is Here Again’. Prior to the service, Hanbury PCC chairman and foodbank trustee Sue Jenkins thanked the parents for their grocery donations which filled two car boots. In the last financial year, Droitwich foodbank fed 4,000 people and the demand continues to rise year on year. Everyone went on their way with a final blessing and we look forward to welcoming the whole school once again for their Christmas service in December.
