Compline Service Wed 3nd June

Compline Service Wed 3nd June

3 Jun 2020 8:45PM — 9:15PM

Compline . . . what is it?

Compline (Night Prayer) is above all a service of quietness and reflection before our rest at the end of the day.

It begins and ends in silence and includes set prayers, a hymn, a psalm, a scripture reading and a period of silence for private prayer and reflection.

It is a short service lasting 15-20 minutes.

Compline is currently being offered Monday - Friday throughout Covid-19.

Those who attend, find it to be a time to wind down at the end of the day; a time to quietly come into the presence of God: a time of reassurance; of peace and, in our present challenging situation, a time of great comfort.

How can people join?

Those wanting to join the Service can log into Zoom from 8.45pm . . .Pre-service silence starts at 8.55pm . . . Service begins 9.00pm.

The Zoom link details are available each Saturday for the following week from the Revd Barbara Wheatley on barbarawheatley@btinternet.com
